Review of Den autentiske virksomhed (The Authentic Company)

“Let me tell you straight away. “The Authentic Company” by Nikolaj Stagis is a book of high quality. Both in outside and inside. Here you’ll find more than 300 pages of experience economy and business development in Danish and from a Danish author. The book is absolutely worth reading and even though I have a few points of crituque, it’s overall a very nice piece of work.

Municipality Branding: Lego or Low-taxes?

Recently, I have experienced how branding is no longer only for private companies, as local authorities are well on their way in the process of creating their own authentic brands. This realization came after a debate at the Danish ‘People Meeting’ (“Folkemødet”) on last Thursday. We organized the debate in cooperation with the newspaper Kommunen, which was simultaneously a prelude to a municipalitybranding conference,which is held at, and in collaboration with, the Danish Chamber of Commerce on October 30th.

Jagten på det autentiske brand

I Danmark har vi ikke 98 kommuner, men kun tre, hvis man dømmer efter kommunernes værdier, strategier og visioner. Er din kommune eksempelvis den grønne klimakommune? Den blå erhvervsvenlige kommune? Eller kommunen der tilbyder oplevelsesturisme? Alle skal have en vision og et værdisæt, der tiltrækker børnefamilier og (videns)arbejdspladser. Men der mangler viden og mod til at gennemføre kommunal branding, som reelt differentierer og synliggør kommunens reelle og unikke styrker. Ellers er risikoen, at din kommune påstår det samme som de øvrige 97 kommuner.
